As if peace reigned in the Middle East this Hanukkah season, HMO has been serving and healing in ways that strengthen and advance a nation and all humanity.

Hadassah is embedded deeply in the Israeli heart and experience, building almost constantly since our founding.

This year on October 7, I was in Israel to share Hadassah’s support, to mourn those who were massacred, and to grieve for all that has happened since.

In good times and bad, we are conditioned to navigate parallel realms.

When we returned to our homeland, Israel, we adhered to the readiness imperative—and no one has been more prepared for the past 112 years than Hadassah.

Israel’s legitimacy is questioned more widely than ever. For many, the central issue is Zionism, which they misunderstand—out of malign intent or ignorance.

Hadassah is attracting more support not only for our fight against antisemitism but because of who we are and what we have done for more than a century.

With the ingathering of exiles in Israel and increased Jewish unity in Diaspora communities, Zionism has allowed us to appreciate our rich diversity.
