Book That Surgery on Archimedicx
Plenty of websites exist for booking vacations, but what about medical procedures? Israeli startup Archimedicx may be the first to offer the option.
“Health care is the only place where you don’t have a searchable marketplace, like AirBnB, Booking.com, Amazon,” said Guy Klajman, chief marketing officer at Archimedicx.
Launched in September 2015, Archimedicx ranks more than 1,800 medical facilities performing more than 300 elective procedures in 20 countries, so health care choices can be made in a global marketplace. Patients can conduct a free search based on their specific medical procedure or condition and find the best-rated medical centers for them, factoring in location, language spoken and time limitations. Once the patient chooses a facility, they can contact the hospital through the website and transfer medical records through a secure portal.
A ranking system certified by the European Healthcare Information Management Systems Society puts international hospitals on equal footing.
