Nigunim, Hebrew Melodies

Siblings Gil and Orli Shaham (violin and piano) bring niggunim to life with impressive technique and soaring cadenzas. Movements by composer Avner Dorman evoke tradition with poignant melody, ethereal dissonance and jagged rhythms. Equally transporting are three pieces from the Schindler’s List soundtrack.
